Due Dates
Wednesday, January 31 - Have read the first section of Reason (I-Robot) Today the students complete a due date calendar for the museum project components. The students should have also completed a sketch of the exhibit they hope to create. Over the next several days I will be compiling some of this information so that everyone has some idea of what each team is required to do. Tomorrow, Raisa is going to do a lesson on information graphics. This should help the students think about ways of presenting information. After the lesson, the real work of building the museum begins.

Each museum design team has created a contract that states what they agree to produce, make, and build for the museum. I will be making this contracts available online so that everyone is aware of what each team is responsible for creating. I should have that up by Wednesday. If the teams all follow through on what they have agreed to create, it should be a great museum. Lots of work to do.
There are no due dates.
The students spent the morning thinking about what elements they will include in their exhibits. Museum Development

Wednesday, January 24 - Robot Museum Epitome Poster Step 1: Creating an Epitome Poster An epitome is the essence of something. It can also be thought of as the single most important thing or aspect of something. Where the Robots and Robotics Museum is concerned, your epitomes will be the most important things a person will learn and take away from your exhibit. Before you begin to design your exhibit, state what the epitomes of your exhibit will be. In other words, describe the most important things that your audience will learn from your exhibit. Create a one page poster that lists your three main epitomes. Please make sure that the names of the group members are at the top of the poster. Before you print out this poster, show it to Mark or Raisa. Once your poster has been checked and passed, print it out, glue it to a nice piece of construction paper, and give it to Mark. We finished a few more presentation today. Assessments of those presentations will come home over the weekend. We should finish the last presentations on Monday. We will then turn our attention to museum design and figuring out how to program Pepper to do some cool stuff.
Due to the two hour delay, the essential question presentations have been moved to Thursday morning.
