We are now turning our attention to robots and robotics. We spent today reviewing and updating our understanding of gears and gearing. Tomorrow we will spend some time determining gear ratios (simple and compound). A test will follow later in the week. Next week we will apply our knowledge of gears and gearing to create machines that can at first pull a lot of weight and then, with some changes to gearing, go really fast. This will be followed by the building of simple remote controlled robots. Finally, Pepper will be arriving in the next two weeks.
In the afternoon, we will be focusing on finishing articles for the first edition of the MR Magazine. Don't forget... We go camping on Thursday.
