Letter to Parents
Dear Students and Parents,
The following is an important document that must be signed and received prior to your child being permitted to take home a CLC laptop or iPad. There may be other documents. Please read this note and the classroom and technology rules carefully with your child and then sign and send back to Mark. Those that know me know that I take learning very seriously, and I expect my students to take it seriously. I expect all of my students to work hard, learn well, and perform to the best of their ability. However, I also expect my students to think before they act, make good decisions, be respectful, have integrity, and not settle for mediocrity. The majority of my students not only meet my expectations, but they often exceed them. There are, however, a small number of students that choose not to make good decisions and regulate their own behavior. These students can become a negative influence in the classroom and inhibit the academic and developmental progress of themselves and of all the students in the classroom. It is well known that a poorly behaved student can disrupt the learning environment for everyone in a classroom. I will not allow any student or students to inhibit their learning or more importantly inhibit the learning of other students. CLC was established as a place where students can learn and grow to the best of their ability. My attention must be focused on the academic progress of all of my students and not the poor behavior of a few students who are disruptive and distracting. With that said, working with your child, please review the Team-TT Rules and Guidelines. Finally, the use of a CLC laptop or iPad and access to CLC technology is a privilege and not a right. As such, a student may lose his/her technology privileges at anytime. Misuse of technology, failure to consistently complete assignments on time, failure to consistently return the Friday Folder and or important forms on time, failure to demonstrate responsibility..., may all be cause for the loss of a student’s technology privileges. I have read and understand the note above and the classroom and technology guidelines found.
