News for Wednesday - 9/21

Due to the complexity of the projects we do, it can be difficult for people outside of class (parents) to understand what all of the different assignment are, what they involve, and when then they are due. I do my best to help everyone understand and keep track, but if you have questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

You may have noticed that the students are completing a number of different forms. These forms are designed to help them gather and organize information that will eventually become part of a detailed marketing report about the food product they will be developing. The students have just finished looking at their competitors and the competing products. They are now turning their attention to their customers' characteristics, needs, and wants. Part of this involves developing and implementing a survey. They will be writing survey questions, distributing the survey through a Google Form, and organizing and analyzing the results of the survey.  The survey results will be included in the final marketing report. The final piece of the marketing report is an opportunities section. This is where the students discuss the type of food they might create and the niche it might fill.  This last section will be informed by the previous sections.
