First - A little bit of 8th grade news...
The 8th graders are responsible for turning in the End of Year Project Proposal by October 6. This proposal will outline the project, highlight the steps that need to be taken to complete the project, discuss how the project will be presented at the end of the year, and state the three people that will be on the project committee (two CLC staff and one outside member, an adult). Following up on the proposal is a proposal hearing. Each 8th grader will make a 2 to 3 minute presentation to the school that outlines their project. These presentations will happen on November 4. It is important to note that the End of Year Project has two parts. Part one is the project that the student works on throughout the year. The project is usually something they make, build, create or ultimately due. The second part is the final presentation. Simply put, the student will present, in a creative, informative, and entertaining way, what they have built, created, and or done over the year.
